The Technical Writing and Engineering Company was founded in 1966 by Michael S. Arlow to provide expert technical publication and graphic art services.  It is currently a Michigan "C" corporation. Since its inception, the Technical Writing and Engineering Company has developed an experienced and highly qualified team that is customer oriented, cost conscious, flexible, loyal, quick reacting, and totally dedicated.

The Technical Writing and Engineering Company provides all of the supporting graphic art, studio, and on-location photographic services necessary to generate and promulgate our products. We are capable of working directly from client source data and/or from material that we gather, create, etc. When foreign language translation is required, text and page layout are consistent with multilingual presentation and the target audience.

Activities: The Technical Writing and Engineering Company specializes in the preparation and promulgation of high-end commercial, industrial, and military documentation. As a registered supplier to the United States Government, Department of Defense (FSCM/CAGE No. 56401, NAICS Code 54143), we also supply documentation and materiel to various foreign ministries of defense — either as a subcontractor or directly, through offset funding programs.

• Our commercial and industrial activities include the preparation and promulgation of technical manuals, supporting literature, training materials, laminated job aids, and on-machine placards for OSHA compliance. Additionally, we are involved in the creation of technology transfer documentation for manufacturing process licensing.

• Our military documentation activities include the preparation of provisioning screening and associated data, USAF Technical Orders for parts of the wing sweep mechanism for the B-1B Bomber, US Army Technical Manuals for test equipment for the MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) aiming device, USAF documents (technical orders, ATA manuals, and time compliance technical orders) for engine accessories, fuel controls, and aerospace ground support equipment for the F-4, F-14, F-15, and F-16 aircraft, and overhaul manuals for magnetic memories for nuclear submarines.

Quality: The Technical Writing and Engineering Company operates under a unique, all encompassing, Total Quality Management program. This program is specific to our own activities and was developed, produced, and implemented completely in-house. As a normal part of our daily business activities, the Technical Writing and Engineering Company has an ongoing continuous quality improvement program to reduce costs, streamline data acquisition, automate production, expedite services, and assure the accuracy of its work.

Goals: It is the intention of the Technical Writing and Engineering Company to develop long term and mutually beneficial relationships with each of its clients. Interested parties are encouraged to directly contact us for any additional information.
